Seminar Dinner on April 29
I have 37 students in my 3rd and 4th year seminars. Most of them participated in the dinner party organized by the seniors last night. We ate lots of Taiwanese food!
Strawberry picking in Togane
In total I think we ate 100 strawberries in 20 minutes.... There are lots of places to go strawberry picking in the Togane area. You pay about 1,100 yen and you can eat as many as you can for up to 40 minutes. We were out of there in 30 minutes and we were full!

What a BIG surprise, Taira!
Monday morning I get a text from Tom and he casually asks if I was going to be on campus that morning. A few minutes later he shows up with his wife and Taira! I didn't know they had had a child so you can imagine my surprise. Congratulations, Tom!

First Day of School: Snow
What a surprise! I don't remember ever starting classes on a snowy day--an unforgettable April 8.
