Students in my department greeted President Yanagisawa upon the scholarship they received this month. They will be leaving for the USA this Friday and will be studying at the University of California, Riverside for 16 days. The scholarship covers the airfare, tuition and homestay fees. I hope this experience will give all of them opportunities to broaden their horizons and become more ambitious about their future careers. I will be traveling with them, so the next time you hear from me it'll probably be from California.
