Dr. Ng Yen Yen gave a talk on our Awa Campus on Tuesday. There was also a cherry tree planting ceremony and we hope she will come back when they are in full bloom.

BIG success--Chancellor Award
Our seminar received the Chancellor Award yesterday. It's the one prize we had been working hard for the past years so I can say that we are so happy we finally got it! We also received a prize in the research category and also the top prize from the JIU Festival Organization Committee which was a Play Station 3!! Believe it or not we also won the first prize in the bingo game: a Wii. Wow, I don't know what we are going to do with these games....

Too simple for a sushi restaurant?!?
Apparently not many people have cucumber with "umeboshi" (pickled plum) at sushi restaurants, but if you go to Ichiriki you can order Maria's special and they will serve you this. It's great!
