Yuta and Yukie happily married

Yukie and Yuta got married on Saturday. They looked very, very happy and the wedding was a very lively one. It was great to see their parents again and also to see so many former students. The problem I had was my sore throat and my voice. I ended up giving a speech a little hoarse.
A surprise from the outside.

Another surprise: candle light? No, beer for everyone!

Happy with the beer!

So glad Teiko-sensei came from Fukushima.

Father and son performing--what a surprise.

A beautiful day in Kamakura

At the Hase Temple

Spring is almost here.

The Bamboo Grove--always beautiful.

We happened to witness a wedding at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.

Nikko on Saturday

I finally was able to go to Nikko yesterday. My brother and some friends are visiting and we all had a good time.

A beautiful lake near the restaurant where we had lunch.

Lake still frozen.

An elephant?!?

Ieyasu's grave up in the mountains.

Graduation on March 15

Time flies and unfortunately another class already graduated yesterday. I don't know when I'll see my students again. I know that some will come once in a while and we'll have tea or go out for dinner, but I won't see some of them ever again. I wish everyone all the very best!

Flamenco and Tapas

Saying thanks and good-bye to Sensei.

Last day in Barcelona: National Museum

View of the Sagrada Familia from the Museum.

One of Casas' beautiful pieces.

I enjoyed all of Gaudi's chairs. This one is called "sofa."

A Picasso.

The Olympic area.

Rentaro's Birthday in Barcelona

I hadn't asked Rentaro if I could write about him so I avoided posting the photos. His birthday was on March 10, the day we went to Barça. I'm sure that made his day even more special.
A special cake--note the candles.

He is wearing his gift: Messi's shirt. Of course I didn't buy the same one
