Our Chancellor invited the speakers to a farewell dinner at the New Otani. The went to the "The Sky" and I basically got dizzy when I walked in. It was dark and the restaurant rotates. I felt better after spending about 10 minutes in the restroom and I also decided not to look out the glass windows. The interesting thing was that after we were all settled there was an earthquake!! Luckily many people thought it was just a shake caused by the mechanical rotation of the whole restaurant. We later found out it had been one of magnitude 5.0 and the epicenter in Chiba. In any case, the food was very good and we were able to say good-bye to everyone.
